TO BENEFIT

BENEFIT IN ACTION
Children’s welfare, food security and the environment have all got our attention this year. The 2026 Washington Noon Rotary Golf Tournament proceeds will benefit:
Bright Futures – a non-profit working to help meet the basic needs of students in Beaufort County schools, including clothing, food, school supplies, shoes and outerwear, hygiene products, etc. This organization, with its home at the Washington Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce, partners with other non-profits, private citizens, faith-based organizations and schools to be sure that children have what they need to focus in school and reach for their best future.
Eagle’s Wings – an ecumenical food pantry serving Washington, NC for 30 years, working with large scale farming and grocery chains, supported by local government, faith-based organizations, and service organizations, like the Rotary. The number of individuals served has doubled in recent times, with more need anticipated due to federal government food program cuts in 2025.
The North Carolina Estuarium – a one-of-a-kind education and advocacy organization, focused on the waterways that feed the Albermarle and Pamlico Sounds and the marine wildlife this vast estuary supports. In 2026, the Estuarium is working on a new project that will renovate space for a Seafood School. The project combines an educational exhibit on the river’s role as a nursery for seafood species with a classroom kitchen, for cooking classes and special events.
